The Lighting Exchange

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve integrated The Lighting Exchange on to our website, an intuitive and easy-to-use communication platform with a plethora of features made specifically to make lighting selection and the project building process more efficient for you.

Some of the features are available directly on our website, but to get the full experience you’ll want access to the portal. The portal is home to your very own dashboard that’ll keep everything easy to access all in one spot.

Here’s a few of the key features we’re excited about:

Interactive Line Card and Quick Search

Now there’s two ways you can see our brands, the first is when you login to the portal, and the second is right on our website, just click on “Our Brands” in the menu bar. This will take you right to our interactive line card where you’ll see all our brands plus a few of their top products.

The great thing about the new line card is it makes it so much easier to find what you’re looking for if you’re not familiar with every manufacturer. You can sort by product category or application by clicking on the option you’re looking for.

For example, if you want a Wall Sconce – check that off and then you’ll see all our manufacturers that carry wall sconces. From there, you can click on a manufacturer to bring up a pop-up that shows all their wall sconces, or you can browse the rest of their products right on that window too.

Another great way to search products is with the ‘Quick Search’ feature. While on the Interactive Line Card page, click on the ‘Quick Search’ tab at the top. Think of this as comparable to how you would search on Google – you can be as broad or specific as you’d like. For example, if you want a decorative pendant just type that in and you’ll see all of our products pop up that match that criteria. If you want something more specific such as a 3″ trimless square downlight – no problem! The Quick Search tool will pull up all those products for you too.

Interactive Line Card and Quick Search

By clicking on ‘Start Your Project’ in our website menu, you’ll be directed to a section where you can choose from a few Project Templates. These are great if you’re looking for inspiration and want to jump start your project.

If you have something specific in mind, you can build your project yourself by collecting products you like and saving them to a job board (yes, similar to Pinterest!).

Simply go to the Projects section on your dashboard (you’ll have to have an account), select “Start New Project” where you can choose your salesperson at Flux and provide them with a few details about what you’re looking for. From there you can start building your fixture schedule by adding different fixture type categories (ie. Downlights, pendants, etc.), then choose your fixtures by using the search functions mentioned above. You can use the live chat feature to connect with your salesperson with any questions or comments you have on that project.

Your Lighting Asssociates salesperson can also invite you to a project they’ve already started where you can easily approve or reject items all within the portal.

On-Demand CEUs

Looking for points? Look no further than the ‘Continuing Education’ section, available on our website or in the portal. This area is automatically updated as our manufacturers upload new courses so you can browse through the different subjects and take a course at your leisure.
